under aircraft explosion one person was killed and four wounded.
1983 – BCCI got 49% of Banco
mercantile, a 24 branch Colombian bank, later renamed Banco de
Credito y Comercio de Colombia. One of the board members was Rodrigo
Llorente who was one of the richest politicians in Colombia.
1983 – BCCI got its Colombian bank
and added seven new branches over the next four years while its

6 Nov 1985 – 35 M-19 guerrillas
attacked the Colombian palace of justice in Bogota. They held 250
hostages, many justices of Colombia. When govt troops took over the

Israeli security company called Spearhead ltd, training hit squads of
the Medellin cocaine cartel in assassination and bombing. Klein was

13 Jan 1988 – A huge bomb exploded
outside the Monaco eight storey apartment building owned by Escobar
in Medellin. The blast killed two nightwatchmen and dug a 13 foot
