10 Feb 2007 – The national court in Spain convicted 5 Algerians on Islamic terrorism charges and sentenced them to 13 years each according to a sentence. The 3 judge panel acquitted a 6^th Algerian man. The court convicted the 5 men for membership in a terrorist organisation and for document forgery for terrorist purposes. The court acquitted the 5 men on charges of conspiracy to carry out a terrorist attack and possession of explosives. One of the men, Mohamed Tahraoui aged 24 had been charged in an alleged plot on the military base Rotz where US and Spanish troops are based.
